Introduction
The department was established in June 2002. The department currently has a team of 30 medical and nursing staff, including 8 senior professionals and 12 doctors and master’s degree holders. It operates with 46 beds and, in 2023, handled over 20,000 outpatient visits and more than 1,700 inpatient admissions.

The Traumatic Orthopedics Department is equipped with a multidisciplinary medical and nursing team specializing in managing high-energy injuries to the limbs, pelvis, and bones, as well as trauma emergency care and monitoring. The team excels in treating complex and refractory traumatic pelvic and acetabular fractures, limb fractures, limb deformities, and acute and chronic osteomyelitis. Over the past two decades, the department has successfully treated hundreds of patients with severe pelvic and limb fractures caused by traffic accidents and falls from heights.
The department is responsible for emergency medical services for major disasters in Shenzhen and has participated in numerous first-line rescue missions for major natural disasters at the national, provincial, and municipal levels, receiving consistent praise and recognition from the Shenzhen Municipal Government and the Health Commission.
